    what have people got for max speed?

    I think my car is messed up some how, its a 1989 lxi and i can only get 95 mph out of it, i havent tried to tweak it at all, i need to replace the injectors (they are leaking) but other than that I WONDER WHATS WRONG what have other people gotten? any ideas for mine?

    the highest i have gone is only 95 ish, but i had a lot more room. other lx-i's can usually hit 120-125 without a problem. i am confident i could hit 120 for SURE... i still had a lot of spped left to go at 95 lol..

    95 for me too!

    Yeah, me too. My car has 176000 miles on it,but i barely reach 95mph.

    hehe... mine has 230,000 miles.... lol... and its still a happy speeder!

    try a tune up, a lot of times that can help bring back a little bit of power

    110mph about every other week, 115mph every now and then. 225K on the clock. Car would walk right up to that speed, but anymore wasn't gonna come easy, like you hit a invisible wall or something.

    thats cool, i want to be able to get it up to at least 115!

    i do have leaky fuel injectors at the moment (im buying remanufactured ones right now) do you guys think that could be a speed problem?

    with LX auto tranny.... barely brushed 125mph 7krpm (had 102k)
    with LXi auto tranny... topped out at 130+ 7krmp (had 145k)

    the LX took me a LONG ass time to get up to speed, nearly a mile
    the LXi i topped out in under a half mile

    yeah i have an lxi with stick, it is quite nice, but its SLOW!!!!! stupid thing... i hope replacing the fuel injectors help

    could my tires/alighnment (they rumble at about 80) also be the culprit possibly?

    the fastest i've gone was 135 in my 88 accord lx-i but that rocks.....mod include ....home made cold air intake no ps no ac ....thats all that i've done to my ride...i pulled the motor to "freashin it up a lil bit(if ya know what i'm talkin bout)"
