IM A COP FREEZE ASSHOLES UR ALL ARRESTED!! lol jk... i've topped out at 103mph in my 89 LX :\ i'd be in 4th and i couldn't accelerate anymore and i wasnt eve nredlining it of course.... then i'd go to 5th and i cant accelerate there either... grrr

I've seen 120 in my old SE-i AT. THat was 3 years ago, 2 since I've owned it, and I'm sure the new owner has done it since then. The LX-i I just picked up has the potential to peg it out...it feels mucho strong. I'm gonna have to welcome myself back to the 3geez with a speed run I guess.

just rolled 91K on her and she went 120+ EASILY but I've got H rated tires and didn't want to push 'em plus I'm afraid of messing up the car-I don't hot rod very often.

I got my stock LX-i with 193,000 miles up to 125 mph going to las vegas, it looked like all the cars were going in reverse, heehee, tooo fast for me

i got mine up to 105, and then i ran outta room. back road. hehe

i have an automatic though, since i only have 4 gears instead of 5, does that mean i can't go as fast, or are the gear ratios different on automatics?

87 DX, 195,000 miles, 119 mph before I ran out of room *sigh*. I really dont think I coulda pushed her much harder anyway lol, probably just a couple more mph's. That was also pretty much bone-stock, just cat-back exhaust at that time I think (yeah I know, HUGE mod, adds +50 mph to top speed...).

With some good hp and pushing the engine past 6,200 rpm, with the gear ratio's in the 5 spd you can get +160mph. 92mph is the redline speed for 3rd gear. If you can push 5 gear above redline you will need I spedo that does much faster the 130mph.

Not likely. I can go around 125 with my completely stock DX. My engine even has worn piston rings. I don't care if you dont believe me. I do it every so often across the flats between the two cities I live in and go to school in.

I haven't tested the weber to top speed yet b/c I just got a ticket in Feb. and I don't think it's worth a huge ticket. (and when I got pulled over it was in the middle of nowhere so don't suggest that

I have hit 115 on flat ground, but have hit about 125 on an on-ramp that had a 90 degree turn at the top that I took at 50 (tires squealin all the way

) and a mad downhill on to the interstate.

88 LX-i, bone stock, exhaust leak, big dents on the 1/4's, slipping clutch: 115 MPH in 5th gear. That's it. Well, it may have gone faster, but at 115 MPH, that was fine for me. Heck, I was glad it could do 100. I think that the dents are holding it back a lot though, as the car was rigth at 5000 RPM and I know it can pull to 6000 RPM easily in all the other gears.

with my old red 88 lx, i hit 120, only 4 gears, tach was at like 6 and a half, 5th was stripped, it was so scary, lil 13 in tires and i could feel it pullin left and right, only did it a couple times...i haven't punched my new 3 g, its not even on the road yet

62mph in 2nd gear.(redline) When I got to 80mph I ran out of room. When I have more time and a longer road I will try again and tell you guys.
