    Introduction

My Dad bought this 1987 Honda Accord in Nov. of 1986 as a Christmas present for Mom and we have had so many memories in this car. I was in High School and just learned how to drive a stick from my job delivering parts for Nappa. For the past 6 years I have been slowly doing things here and there to get it up and running in the best ways possible, but mostly in the needed aspects. I have to admit I am pleased that it was also made in Ohio.

What has resounded my love for this car has not only been what a great little 4 door this is car is. So many specific to this car aspect have arisen over the years and have loved spending little cash and having such a well "in design" car. Have replaced / refurbished / jalopied / fandangoed many things on this car and the best part about it is when my Dad (now 84) gets so happy about the car still in the family and still talks like it is his.

I have been reading this forum for recent issues with the Vacuum system came up and still looking for a new throttle cable, anyway... Very helpful forum and great to feel the love for these cars. So I should join in the convo and hope to get help that is staring to be harder and harder to find, things AND experience.

Hoping to be welcomed to the Forum.

    Re: Introduction

Current issue that I could not find addressed in prior posts.

Only my side front turn signals are working, the front facing, rear facing are not but he front sides are. Also the dash indicators are dimmer. I have replaced the bubs to LED and replaced the flasher to an LED to remove the hyper-flashing. that was working well for over a year but now I am missing just the rear and front, but not the sides. ? any help diagnosing is much appreciated.

Looked around on the site, guess there is some info about this already. Time to take off the combination switch and rebuild it. Great pics, so helpful!

    Question Re: Introduction

Well that did not work, at least I have eliminated that from the scenario. So it appears that the "Flasher" and "Relay" are 2 different things, so thinking that might be the issue.
The Turn signals will flash the front side markers in time, but not any of the others. The hazard will flash irregularly, almost not at all on the same front sides but none of the others.
Or should I be looking for a broken connection? I just have a hard time believing that a "break in the wires" somewhere or loose connection would make 4 turn signals go out, however confused that a relay should either be working or it is not. How do the front sides "work" and nothing else?
