Wanted 1977 Honda Accord CVCC exhaust manifold

I’m looking for a exhaust manifold for my 77 Honda Accord or any info on an upgrade. Any help would be great. Thanks. Duane

That's gonna be tough. In general, it's a good idea to make regular trips to the junk yard to see what's there. Other than that, keep an eye on eBay, Craigslist, swap meet, etc.

What's wrong with the one you got?

I was quoted 500 dollars to make a custom header for my car. That is a good price because I seen some go as high as 1300 dollars

There used to be a couple of companies making parts for these engines. AT Engineering was one of the bigger players at the time, and I used to see their headers hanging out on eBay all the time, I bought one years ago and had it ceramic coated... it was beautiful. Didn't fit the Accord though, it was for the 2nd gen Civic... Can't find them much anymore.

I know on the '76 models, there was a baffle that broke off and clogged the exhaust system. The 77s were probably the same. You'd have no power (well, even less no-power than stock), and would have no idea why. There were no cats on those to blame. I pulled three different ones from the yard and they were all broken. Exhaust manifolds weren't easy to get to on those. You had to pull the carb, then the intake (I bought the special tool you needed to do it) before you got to the exhaust manifold. It was like spending a day and half in the yard, in the crushing Fresno heat, with no water and not many tools to realize I wouldn't find what I needed. I had to buy a new manifold from the stealership to the tune of $350, which was a king's ransom for me at the time (a week and a half's wages). Two years later I ditched the car. Ah, memories.
