    Pgm-fi light, and clicking

when i turn on the car, the pgm-fi light comes on and stays on until i turn it off...but not only that, when i accelerate there is a ticking, its loud at first, but after a while, it gets a little quiter.....could they be somehow connected??

Check the ECU to see what code you get (look in the FAQ for the codes). The ticking might be because your valve clearnaces need adjusting.

02 sensor is my guess on the PGM FI light.

I have that same problem... but mine only comes on sometimes, and when it does the idle goes up to about 2000, and then slowly goes down - then it goes hi-lo, hi-lo for a few minutes and then back to 2000 rpm and then slowly down to average, between 1200 and 900...

I have the same problem with my 89 LX-i but no light just the knocking that starts loud and quites down after running for a while. The sound definatly comes from the valve cover but i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it.

Change brand and try a higher octane gas first. If that doesn't help then adjust your valves:

I got that darn light coming on every so often for no reason it seems. But if you added a cold air intake like me and didnt hook up the vaccuum lines right, it throws the computer off. Just to let yall know, an intake from a 1990-91 accord will fit if you move your battery a little. Also, does anyone have a problem with the battery going dead every 2days? I have a short somewhere in the horn/brake lights/seatbelt circuit. Help?
