    Body Mods

    i just bought a 87 LX-i Hatchback from my dad, now i got the freedom to mod it anyway i want .. everything is stock except for the system my dad put in it .. it is in a very good condition .. what are the mods i can do .. if it's possible pleas post pix of your cars and please name the mods that you did .. im planning on keeping the a20a3 engine in it because it is still in good condition .. i want to put a CAI in it and lower it .. any ideas guys?! ohh yea .. sad to say it's an auto matic .. is there like an after market sports shifter i can get for it?

    Tint your windows, get some wheels, lower about 2", paint your tailights.

    Started with a 89 Accord LXI - 96 Acura TL - 2003 Acura CL Type S..

    i got my tails tinted .. i got creative and used mirror tint for it .. it's been on there for about a year now .. and been through all types of weather .. it works

    There's this guy, forgot his user name here, but he's from Daly City and he has a hatchback with a B20 motor and he also has a coupe. Damn, I forgot Mr. Openloops user name. Wait, isn't he justanothermike or something like that? People, please help me on this one.

    its not that to do a 5speed swap, and there is a few people on here who can help you through it if youre interested.

    i would say spend your first $1500-2000 on suspension and wheels if you dont want to do engine mods first... but when the thread says body mods i assume looks are more of a priority at this point...

    however, for under $600 you should be able to get intake/headers/exhaust and a cam regrind... that would be a good boost in power for sure.

    good luck with whatever route...

    i fergot to say that my engine is busted .. so im for sure getting a new engine ... but yea .. im more into the looks right now .. im not a ricer though!!! .. i just dont want those 100+ mph tickets just yet

    hmm...... what are you planning to replace the engine w/? another a20 or something else? your already FI so there are a few other options for ya.

    Holy crap dude that's the best time to swap in a nice motor and transmission. I would if I were you. Then it would be a great mod instead of just a CAI and stuff. I'm to the point where I am aiming more for appearance stuff myself b/c I almost have every mod for this motor. I wish I would have done a motor swap 2 years ago when my motor went boom. I didn't even like the car then but I learned more and more about it and realized it's a sweet car and I can do lots of mods to this.

    so changing it to a b20 motor all i gotta do is plug and play .. so i need to change things like brackets or whatever (im not good with part's names) and how much will the swap cost me?

    90/91 CRX Si Wheels on Yokohama's, HP Racing 4'' oval exhaust, Arospeed Coilovers (0-4" drop, slammed at about 3.5" now), Modified Integra Short Ram Intake, Clear Front Bumper Lights(wired on w/ hyperwhite bulbs), Sidemarkers, White Interior Trim(Console, Vents, Handles, etc...), Removed Emblems, Type-R shift knob, Aiwa CD Deck, Sony Xplod 6x9's

    17.06 @ 80.9 mph
