    BRAKE light

So I'm 99% sure what the issue is but wanted double check to be sure.
My e brake light on the dash is staying on all the time. Pretty sure it's just the switch gone bad making it think the e brake is engaged but just to make myself feel better... there isnt some backup warning function if other warning lights dont work is there?

Is it the same light as low brake fluid? Master cylinder reservoir low?

I don't think our cars can detect low brake fluid. If it's the bigger brake light on the top of the instrument cluster then it's simply the ebrake switch just under the center console. You can probably fix it by bending the metal on the switch so it makes better contact.
