has anyone painted their own ride? i want to re-paint my car to black from gray. is it hard to do? i dont have the money to get it shopped paint... but im guessing it's just time consuming.

Painting should be done in a clean bay (or even a garage) so you don't get dust in the paint. I wouldn't really try painting the whole car until you get the hang of painting from a sprayer. I painted my bumpers last year with acrylic enamel that was color matched. I cleaned the whole bumper with wax remover/paint adheasion promoter several times and then sprayed the paint in nice strokes. Just fast enough so the paint ALMOST runs. Then it leaves a nice glossy finish.
