    differences between center consoles?

i was wondering if the center consoles between the years are interchangeable, or something to that idea.

currently i have nu,ber 3 on my car, i want to add gauges to the console and all, so i was wondering if i can scrap number 3 and put in number 4...

yeah, you should. you can get them in the junkyard or find one that someone is getting rid of on here. number 4 is the tapeholder console and came in all LXi sedans, but i'm not sure about hatches and coupes.

I believe its also the same piece that came in all se-i's because of the cupholders. And yea, should be really easy to swap.

The cupholder is child's play to install, you just need a phillips screwdriver.

The hard part is FINDING the cupholders, because they are no longer available from the dealer, and only came standard on 1989 SE-i Accords.

It took me about 5 minutes to install my cupholder.

Don't worry about getting the SE-i console, you can buy it w/ the cupholder.

    Peace.

All LX-i's must have had it. My coupe parts car had it and it's in my DX now. Like was previously said, about 4 screws is all that is required to swap the parts. It fits right in. If you find an armrest anywhere too, they fit right in with about 4 screws as well.

    my LX had #3
#4 fits fine and you can bolt SEi cupholder assembly into it
(I have one if you want, $50)

    i prefer this: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...SOLE+%28SEI%29
mmmmm, to have an armrest in the beige color. cloth or leather it doesn't matter. hell if somebody just wanted to get rid of one and it needed a little work, id take it.

i also wish i had a jack for my car. mine didn't come with one and sometimes i'm afraid i might need one, but would have to call my motorclub to do it.

    Re: differences between center consoles?

i found a tan #4 at a j/y here. there was a slight crack where the red is:

if some one still wants it ill pick it up next time im there. (a little bondo or something to seal it, and paint to cover the crack would do it fine.)
