You can find grey back seats at junkyards, thats if you wanted a dark color then what you have.

Take off your seat cover and get them upholstered black. Or check out the many places on the web that offer kits for seat upholstry.

Oh on the contrary my friend. What model do you have? Hatch, Coupe, or Sedan?

IF it's a sedan, then other then the SE-i Black or Grey leather, you're screwed.

BUT, if you got yourself a hatch, then good luck finding it, but if you can locate a RED (not maroon) '88 DX Hatch then in it you'll find that covetted black interior. There's also been rumor that the RED DX Hatch was also avaialable in '89 as well, but I have yet to see hard evidence that supports that claim.

OR, if you have a COUPE, go and find yourself a RED (again, not maroon) '89 DX Coupe and in that, you'll also find that elusive yet highly saught after black interior.

I've seen a red hatch. very rare had to be ordered that way. i think the si's were red with black. I know the early civic s model came red with black and red piping. anyone else ever seen an 83 civic s like that? it's traditional for honda to make the s models with red and black at least the old ones. i had a sighting of one of those mystery honda's once. i saw a first gen accord s with the red and black. if it hadn't had such a bad case of body rot, i would have bought it from the junkyard in a min.

i know the seat upholstery i bought was for a coupe i think.it took a lot of work to make it fit i do know that lxi seats and dx seats from the back are the same. they bolt right up, but the front seats require the tracks to be changed to make them fit.

some of them must have, becuase the kit looked like a hatch kit but the holes were different for the pins and the latch mech. it was for a split rear seat and the dx hatch and the lxi hatch are the same as far as the rear. the seats in my dx are from an lxi. back seats are the same front seats had to modify the tracks. a lot of honda's had split rear seats. thats so you can fit your golf clubs and still fit three people haha

so all hatchback models like dx, lx , and lxi are interchangable for the rear but not interchangable with coupes and sedans?

I know the back seat on the 86 dx and the 89 lxi are the same, they fit right in with no problems. the colors are reversed though. my interior had blue seats andthe lxi had blue seats. but the light and dark blue were switched. To make the front lxi seats fit in my car i had to remove one track, replace it with a track from my original seats, and because the lxi had seatbelts that were attached to the seats i had to remove and switch some hardware etc. in order to make the lxi seats latch mechanism strong enough to handle seat belts those seats have double locking tracks, i had to modify the one track to make it non locking like the original. the other track came from the dx seats. the release cable from the side release hooked right up no problems. i never did like the late hatches door and seat mounted belts. I noticed they stopped doing that pretty quick.

i got an 89 lxi and the back seats are solid, not split. the seatbelts go from the rear, just behind the seat to built-in buckles in the middle. i've got the beige/tan interior. though i don't like it with the black dash. oh well.
