    Spark plug hole slightly off

So, my neighbor left me a bunch of his tools, including a compression test and leak down test. I thought I'd take a look, see how things are going in there.
Everything looks ok, except the 4th cylinder is a little low, 3rd might be too, in case you're curious I got
    1 - 170 2 - 165 3 - 162 4 - 140

Anyways, that's a problem for another day. While I was putting the spark plugs back in, I noticed plug 1 going in a little crooked. I've tried finger tightening all different ways, letting it settle how it wants, but I just think the threads are getting shoddy in there. The clearance for plug 1 is greatly hampered by the power steering, so this is maybe expected?

Here's a pic of the plug barely threaded but at a weird angle, and the best pic I could take of the holes.

I'm hoping I can get away with partially running a rethreader in there without having to go a size up?

The holes are not straight on.

I would get one of those spark plug thread chasers, there some cheap ones around just use some motor oil of some lube and take your time with it. You are cleaning threads not make new ones.

Depending your tools you might want to pull the power steering pump back outta the way just to get a nice straight shot on it. Also some spark plug sockets are a little to thick and rub into the head at the wrong angle and if you start the plug with a socket you dont get the correct angle.

I got an xtra head ill try and snap a few pictures of the spark plug angles. it will make more sense to you.

Re: Spark plug hole slightly off

Got sick for a week, but banged it out last night. Put some grease on the rethreader jobber and definitely had to loosen the power steering pump and turn it down and out of the way to get a straight shot. But it worked! And nothing has exploded!
I do have one more unrelated question. When I started this line of tinkering, I decided to remove the fan jumper somebody had put in I guess back when the car would overheat. I've fixed the overheating issue with many many radiator flushes, so I don't want or need the cooling fan to be permanently on anymore. However, I can't find the other end that this fan temp sensor plug is supposed to plug into! Anyone know what I'm talking about?

And thank you for your help!
