bottom of the radiator where the fan sensor was... thats where I put mine... it fits nicely... or if you find some sort of "T" fitting that connects inline with one of the radiator hoses you can use that.

If you decide to use the radiator port you'll need to loop the sensor wire so the fans are always on... but you could add in a toggle switch and then route it back inside so you can turn on the fan when you need to.

I've tried to add a "T" fitting to the radiator so I could use both sensors at once but for some reason the coolant won't flow past the sensors and you'll get a reading that will jump from cold to super hot. I'm thinking this is because there is a pocket of air or something near or around the sensor and inside the "T" that just doesn't go away.

hmm... well it also depends on what type of sensor your guage came with... mine was fairly bulky... but you may have a different type.

BTW: You still interested in a cam regrind?
I can sell you a cam core for $25 LX-I or LX. Then you can send it to whoever to get the regrind done.

for the LX guys it would be much easier and cleaner to get the efi thermostat housing to get the extra sensor routed.

since u have a lxi and gonna hook up a seperate temp gage, why not just remove the stock sending unit and the stock sensor from the thermostat housing and replace it with the one u got? I mean why would u wanna have the one on ur dash and the one u got running at the same time right?

Like I said it depends what type of sensor he is using. I prefer the mechanical ones because they will still read coolant temp with the car off, and you are less likely to gett a odd reading because of power drain from other parts in the car.
