if you do it yourself, it costs as much as the supplies. if you need to rent a welder, bondo, resin, sandpaper, primer, everything you need for regualr body work.

    shaving handles

so I am considering shaving my door handles which doesnt seem that hard. my question is what kinda mechanism do you use to open the doors after the handles are shaved off? Nice work on the car!

lol i was wondering the same thing about door poppers, but i was trying to figure out more of how he gets in and out of the car now? i would guess maybe he has more than 1 car, but imagine driving it some where and locking the door.....................NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HAHAH, oh well that was stupid and it'll prolly never happen but what if?

Ok two more questions for you. What Gauge was the sheet metal you used on the doors and how exactly does the popper work? What activates it?

i used 16 gauge sheet metal. And for mario the motor that u buy hooks up to what opens the door itself, and what opens it is a remote control when u press a button it opens

some people leave a cable exposed somewhere that you can't see it, or use the handles off car like a Miata that is tiny and you can hide easily in a fenderwell or under the car. but like he said, most people seem to use a remote activated sollenoid.

poppers are easier on the wallet but remote sollenoids are much more convenent and reliable.pops can tend to freeze on you as such happened to our truck=(
