    backfireing ...?

Ok guys... I have noticed lately that the accord is backfireing a lot. I have to cat and advanced timing. The carb lid is fliped and I use 93 octane as well. Could this be valve timing or plugs maybe? I can't replace the plugs because at least one of them is cross treaded into the block. Could this be an air/fuel mix problem? Thanks.

is it cold in your area, the carb might be acting up beacause of the flipped lid... it NEEDS hot air to work...
