    Question Aftermarket wheels width question.

First post. Im looking to get after market wheels for my 86 lxi hatch and I am worried they will be to wide and cause rubbing. Im looking to purchase Klutch SL1 silvers. They come in 15x8.5(et17) or 16x8.0 (et15). I already have the car lowered on some coilovers by 1.5". Does anyone have a similar setup? I've never bought aftermarket wheels before. Thanks!

Is the vendor telling you they'll fit? l have 16×7s and zero rub. Adding another inch+ probably will cause some rub though. If you try it, let us know.

8.5 will rub for sure, 8 probably will as well.
I have 7's on mine and they rub from time to time on large humps. I am also lowered quite a bit so there's that to factor in too.

Go to tirerack.com. They'll steer you right. I'm very pleased with my rims from them.
