i used to drive a corolla, that car revs really nicely, so the power band comes up quick, but on my accord it takes some time for revs to climb, i kno that the accord is about .7L bigger, but is there a way of making the car rev harder? i have auto tranny could that be it?
what did you do to your car already ( tune up or perforamnce stuff )

Make sure your tranny cable is adjusted properly.
Turn off the engine and pop the hood. When you turn the throttle with your hand, look down below the battery where the tranny linkage is at. If your linkage on the tranny doesn't move as soon as you begin to move the throttle, it needs adjusted.
It made a HUGE difference on my car.

really, does the car rev more freely after u did that? i din't do any performance modifcations and its an automatic transmission. i wish i had the money rite now to switch to stick, it would help out a lot, but im jus wonderin if i can make the car rev better, because i hate waitin for the tach to climb and the car to finally move. my family minivan can beat my accord. then again the car is 210 hp vtec, but its 4000+ lbs....
