    flipping the lid

allright yesterday on my carb'd Dx I took the air filter lid off flipped and screwed it on the opposite way. Now my intake is really loud (which is great). But did I do it the right way cause teh wingnuts could barely get thread. And what's the power gain supposed to be?

the power gain is, IMO, negligable, although some may argue that

it just lets it breath better

I think it just sounds better, no gain in horses.

    sounds pretty...

I think it sounds pretty...but dont foget...you go through filters quicker!

With the wing nuts.....the rubber grommets..in the air box lid...poke em out and turn em aroundl...or just take em out. Then u can get it tighter. You can also just tighting it doenso it presses down and kinda bends your filter...like i did it extra tight so the sides bulged out. didnt make ne differnce....just kept it on better i guess...or at least gave me better comfort.

What I did is take the grommets out and hammer the it down so the bulges are flat with the rest of the lid making it easier to get for threads.
