    UFO Sighting

Never seen one of these before.

Not Celica. "Delica." Anyone know anything about this one?

Seen a few in my area. They're popping up all over right now that importing 80s and 90s JDM is legal.

They are super cool and I want one. Many of them have diesel engines, 4wd, manual transmissions, and are fully set up for camping, and still have decent tow ratings. Nothing like them here, which is why I think they are so popular.

They are interesting, but I can't say I understand the appeal. Couldn't you build an S-10 Blazer to do the same thing, and come out money ahead? And you'd be able to get parts for it.

It's so bizarre that America probably buys more cars than any other nation in the world, but somehow we never get the cool ones. How long did it take for us to get the Type R, for instance?

I think I would be turned off by Chevrolets interior design enough to just buy a Delica and have a done car. I already have the problem of not being able to get the parts for my car, that line doesn't phase me anymore.
These have been legal for some time now, but I didn't see them start getting popular until this year, the year where thousands of American families suddenly became "campers". God forbid they pitch a tent though, everyone goes out and buys a camper. It may be the former boy scout in me, or the fact that being cooped up in a camper with my siblings in my childhood was hell on earth, but I believe buying a camper is the definition of insanity. I would much rather buy a Delica, take 3 friends, and pitch separate tents.

But I am not going to... because I don't have 3 friends irl

Maybe it's because you keep pitching tents when they're around...
