I have a 88 lxi 150k orginal miles the transmission went out. Everyone saying i should just get rid of it . Im by no means ready to do that . What i want is to find the parts needed to bring her back to life. But having no luck finding what i need .

Well it is fairly easy to find an auto trans if you can just find a car. If you find a manual though you better just jump on that as long as it doesn't have gears gone. As for rebuilding you may as well just take it to a shop, rebuilding an auto is not for the inexperienced.
Definitely rebuild that trans. It's low miles and finding replacement transmissions is hard.
