    UGH I broke this, not sure what it is

    in manual the closest thing is idle controller valve ... It is on firewall side of engine and just below where the carburetor attaches.

    I have an 88 accord LX that I am replacing the carb on!

    Thanks for help. I have not done this work in decades and my mind is a little foggy!

    so, a thermal ported vacuum switch. Can I bypass?

    Thermo valve replacement

    this might be it. Not sure about the bypass part I think is your choke pull off just a guess.
