Speedometer not working at all

Hey guys I’m back with ANOTHER problem with my 3rd gen. So I just got it back from the mechanic but before I sent it off I had taken out the entire gauge cluster to change a couple bulbs and I’m sure most of you know to take out the gauge you need to disconnect the speedo cable and so I did that and connected it heard a click and everything but while driving home last night the speedometer didn’t work at all I disconnected it and reconnected it again and still got a dead speedometer. Can anyone help??

I guess check and make sure the end in the trans is locked in.

The speedo cable is spinning I just checked that it just won’t turn the speedometer at all

Well I doubt the gears broke unless you dropped it or something. Make sure it aligns correctly when you plug it back in I guess

x2 on alignment. If you don't insert it just so, it won't engage.
