    there's no explanation for that one tiny bypass hose though, it's tiny and under the air intake and motor brace and all sorts of things...

    Well, I swapped the hoses and bled the air, but it didnt seem to affect it much. It still is running cool on the highway, so maybe the thermostat is dead. It does get up to temp just fine when sitting.

    Do you remember if your thermostat is like this -> Spring side toward the engine, little hole on thermostat should be on the top.

    After a highway run, open the bleeder valve for a second to see if its constant coolant coming out, (no bubbles or spitting)

    How cool is it on the highway. The 3G dash temperature guage will read slightly below halfway.
