    Head bolts

Trying to rebuild the short block on an A20A3. Need head bolts/studs. I found the ARP 218-4073 number....not available. I have the pistons, rings, head gasket coming this week. Anyone know where I can get the head bolts? Really don't want to reuse the old ones.

I wouldnt hesitate to reuse the old ones. I never have read they are torque to yield type bolts.

the part number you put for the studs look like they are available at Summit.

EDIT: Sorry very weird I put in your part number in google and the 4701 number comes up

You can reuse them no problem. I mean, replace them if they're obviously damaged or if you're going with a high boost application, but otherwise the ones you have will be fine.

    Re: Head bolts

Reusing them might be fine, but I do suggest the head studs. The stock bolts are very low torque and the head gasket would likely perform better with them.

    They are still available.

I did find them at Jeg's. I ordered them, unfortunately they are on backorder. Going to have to reuse the old ones this time around.

If they come in they are at least something you can replace one at a time

I want to thank you guys for the input on the head bolts. I reused the old ones and just got the car running again. Should be road worthy this week.
