Trouble connecting steering hub adapter due to clockspring

Basically, I have a MOMO hub adapter(4903) that's supposed to fit onto my steering hub, but the upon removing the stock wheel, I noticed the clockspring has connectors that stick out and prevent the hub from sliding more than like 1/4 inch down the spline. Can I remove the clockspring and still connect a horn wire somewhere? I don't mind losing cruise control. Or is there a different hub with holes in it that would work for an 89 Accord with Cruise Control? Thanks guys,

    Miles

I have the same issue with my grip royal hub. I tore the top off the clock spring (its not actually a clock spring) so it contacts the hub. Dont know if it will work the same for you, but my solution isnt very elegant either. Best solution might be just to relocate the horn button

Thanks for this info!!! The more I looked into it the more I started to think that it definitely isn't a clockspring... I'll update on how it went lol.
