    Hello,

Thank you for registration to the Forum.

I am a past owner of 2 earlier generation Hondas, both Accords.
The first one, a '77 hatchback came about as I needed a larger rear space for my Pyrenean Mountain dog. She had outgrown the rear seat in the TA22 flat light Celica, which was the first car I owned.
I had the hatchback from new and was living in Perth WA at the time. I can't remember exactly what I paid for it, around $6k (may well be wrong) I think I got $2.8k trade in on the Celica.
Have many great memories of both of the cars.
The other Accord I bought as a salvage car (front left hit) and rebuilt it with the intention of keeping it. However, I sold it quite soon afterwards to fund an overseas trip.

I've recently finished restoring a '73 TA22 Celica as a nostalgia build. Whilst that was an up and down experience it hasn't put me off looking for a 1st gen Accord hatch to get back on the road.
No surprise they are few and far between now and don't come up often. Patience will need to prevail!

I've joined the Forum to get a better feel and understanding of members experiences with their 1st gens in todays world.

Here are some pics of all the cars

Thankyou for the comment and your interest.

It has been a 5 year project and just "gathered" parts that needed replacing and upgrade parts over that time.
I got into the habit of checking each day, Yahoo Japan, Ebay, Facebook Groups etc.
If I were starting out now though, it would be a lot more difficult. The scarcer items are becoming hard to source now.
