Passenger Side Transmission mount install. 1989 Accord

Hello all. I tried to find some info online but havent had any luck. Its for my 1989 Accord Lxi. I noticed the Rubber mount next to passenger fender is torn & Ive ordered a new mount. Im thinking just jack up the transmission, remove rubber gasket install new one. Is it easier to undo the bolt slip it into mount then reattach? Thanks ahead of time for any advice

Yeah, that looked like an exhaust hanger... So real curious what you did

Maybe its a transaxle mount? I put a jack under the engine area to which it was bolted to, lifted her up a hair to relieve tension. unbolted the 2 bolts which hold the lower mount. Removed damaged rubber mount, Rebolted mount plate back to AT with mount attached, slipped upper mount slot into upper pin, lowered jack & that was it. Ill try to post a picture soon.

Clicked on this as I am replacing motor mounts. This rubber piece sits under the transmission.

I improvised a motor mount about 2018. The dogbone motor mount that fastens the top of the engine to the firewall, well the rubber inside the front end crumbled (10,000 hours of hanging out at 180F over 30 years probably did it). I could feel it klunk around with every gear shift, and really thrash around when climbing a hill in first gear: "BA-CHUNK, BA-CHUNK, BA-CHUNK!". so when I opened it up there was no rubber left. The hardened little shards fell out when I moved it, so I took apart the whole thing and reused the steel bushing that originally came with it and wrapped a bicycle innertube around that bushing until it was a tight squeeze to fit into the end of the dogbone brace. That was 2018 and it still seems fine.
You'd be amazed what you can do with bicycle tubes&tires and car tires, using an angle grinder to get through the steel radials.
