    Beater with a heater

My truck was getting about 5mpg, so I found this 89 SEi listed for $999. Got it for $600. Showed up, didn't run, been about a years and a bit, was a daily until parked where it sat. Dumped a bunch of premium in the tank and had to crank it for about 40 min before it finally got good fuel and fired! Then I had to use my truck to pull it and jar all the brakes free haha. Made it home though. Seems to me that the thermostat is stuck open as the temp gauge never comes up to half way, gets to 1/4 way up then pretty much stays there. So i picked up a thermostat.
bought as a winter beater but being an SEi I kinda wanna fix it up now haha. Pretty stoked on it, heard they can get like 30mpg.
Just picked up 4 new winter tires and a new battery, two belts, oil, coolant, trans fluid. Cap n rotor n wires coming from rock auto.
Oh and I have the 14" alloys too! Mount the new tires tomorrow.

Lots of flickering lights that ya just give a whack and they come on. The Bose stereo just makes a weird squeal noise but no sound, lights on it flicker alot. Its really damp inside, I think this car is suffering from an extreme case of moister from condensation. Trunk had a small pool and truck lid metal was SOAKED with condensation. Took a towel to what I could reach. First brake application from driving it away got me good with water down the neck and on the seat lol, it had pooled up in the headliner.

I'm gonna have to go through the entire dash harness and clean out every connection with electrical spray then dielectric grease em all, check/clean all the grounds. Maybe that will fix the weird electrical things. Do these SEi models have auto locking and unlocking door locks by chance? lol
