What did you manage to do to the engine that can't be remedied with a rebuild kit?
These are cast iron blocks, pretty hard to mess them up beyond repair.

Was told the cylinder head needs to be rebuilt. Just bought the car and it skipped timing. Shop quoted a head rebuild at 3k. I didn’t know there was rebuild kits, are they expensive?
I mean, you need to have disposable income to keep anything over 25-30ish years old on the road. It's called a labor of love for a reason.
No I know. I found an a20 and I’m going to rebuild it and throw it in the old lady
