    Hit a california speed bump @ 65mph!

Yup I was going 65 and as the road diped to a rather steep incline... I was air born... I'm serious when i landed i near wet myself... good thing i was lowered... well except for the sparks... and the 8,000 rpm I hit, the instant my tires left the ground.

Seriously I was holding back, because I didn't have the braking power to stop at the light at the bottom of the hill if it was red.

I got to check under the car for battle scars... I wish I had that on tape.

Worst thing that could have happened is your engine could have dropped out the bottom of your car

It wasn't my front end believe it or not, my brand new 2.50" cat back did all the fire works.

damn you lucked out. I can see my strut shafts punching through the hood and landing in another state if I did that.

only thing I ever got air in was old truck. Mazda B2000. The motor wasnt the best but damn was that thing tough. I drove it through water up to the door handles once and she got big air on more than one occasion. She was finnaly killed by a heater core hose that blew and drained the entire collant system in less than 30 seconds. I got off the road, but not fast enough. The cylander head was like a patote chip it was so warped and the block cracked. and a piston pretty much shattered.... I do miss that truck some days though.
Accord has been replaced with a 2004 Solara SE Sport with 3.3 VVT-i V6...man does that car move...

Don87LX - I here ya. I had a b2200 and i agree those trucks are tough, not fast though but definetly tough. I owned it for 2 years and didn't have to replace a single part besides tune-ups.
I jumped som many curbs, and 4X it when it wasn't lowered and it didn't complain. I definetly miss it sometimes, but it was to slow.

I jumped some curbs back in my high school driving days with the Ghetto Defendant , my old Delta 88. That car was a beast...I destroyed like 6 garbage cans and 8 shopping carts with it in one night!

So according to Smufguy this all happened in Cali???

If you hit a speed bump like that here, let me know. I'm not all that keen on seeing if my 3g can outjump the General Lee.

    Peace.
