Need a AT cable

Thanks for the Welcome @oldblueaccord . Any chance you could point me in the right direction of finding a kickdown cable , also known as a throttle cable for my 1989 Accord Lx w/carb 4 door? I am having fun getting everything else figured out but cannot seem to locate this part . No from O'reallys, 1A auto and Rockauto. It is not the accelerator cable (pedal to carb) . I am looking for the cable that goes from throttle body on side of carb to front of transmission that when someone goes to pass another car and steps on the accelerator it "kicksdown" a gear . this cable lifts a lever on the front of the trans to initiate this. Not sure if I am asking in the right place on here. Also not sure if the lxi with auto "kickdown cable" would work. Link to a lxi Kickdown or throttle cable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/163276274068

Just Checked out your youtube channel. I think you may inspire me to make some videos of some of the challenges and attempted problem solving I am doing. Any chance you have video of your throttle body on the passenger side of your old blue accord. I would like to see where and how the Kickdown(throttle cable attaches next to the accelerator(gas pedal) cable and then how it snakes down and attaches to the front of the transmission.

Your kick down cable is for Auto trans and I have a manual so I dont have anything to video for you. Keep looking for one. Maybe Lokar makes one like that those ends are pretty standard.

I dont think I would drive it much until you replace the cable it could damage the transmission possibly.

I can move the kick down cable topic if you want.

That E bay link might be your best bet. Junk yard next. Possible a newer type Honda car use a cable thats close.
