This may be a dumb question, but is there a difference between a throttle cable and a kickdown cable? I've done a weber swap and haven't heard of a kickdown cable before. Am I messing up my transmission or something??
If you're talking about the throttle cable, you have to cut the head off at the end, thread it through the tiny hole in the pin it comes with, and then lock it in with the nut. I can take a couple pictures of my setup if that would help.
I'm 99% sure I did it right, double checked with a shop before. This guy talks about it a little too in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww4dsQvLlEU

The kickdown cable goes to the auto trans. Some are connected to the pedal, some are connected to the carb.

That throttle linkage look horrible, but will the kickdown cable work in one of the other holes? I am not sure if it is supposed to have a different ratio or anything like that, I've never seen the linkage of an auto carb with the kickdown on the carb. There was some discussion about it a few months ago too
