well fisrt you should find out what configuration your auto trans cable is in.

Basicly find the transmission cable on the left side of the car between the battery tray and the distributor. follow the cable from the trans... if it goes into the firewall then you don't need my help. If the cable goes the the carb instead let me know.

well the only cable I saw that comes from the tranny goes across the front of the engine *above the headers* to the firewall............so does that mean I should have any trouble installing a weber?

the other way you can tell if auto trans cable is going to your carb or your firewall ijust by looking at the carb.
when you standing in the front of the car. look at the left side of the carb. if you see 2 cables going into the throttle braket, you are screwed.

So if the cable goes for the tranny to the firewall then it is just like installing it on a 5 speed? and if it goes to the carb then it will need custom work?

I think this is what I am dealing with . I made a video about it.

I have the auto that has (is supposed to have) to Throttle Cable(also known as kickdown or TV cable) going from front on transmission to the side of the carb not the fire wall.

    Mine is a 1989 Accord Lx. https://youtu.be/3TgqS5VGCJU

I share a detailed description in the video above. Hoping this will help someone else as it has taken me weeks to figure out. I bought the car and it has no cable from the front of trans to gas pedal or side of carb and I could not figure it out. The stock set up has just one wire from the gas pedal but the online manual has two. Now I realize some cars have the 2 wire from gas pedal and some has one from pedal (accelerator cable) and one from transmission (throttle Wire, TV , Kickdown) now to locate one that will match up with my car as they are discontinued according to the interwebs. (Honda parts now, Autozone, Orielly's , etc.

You're probably going to have to find one at the junk yard. If you find one like yours, take the cable, if you find the one like you see in the manual, maybe take the pedals.
I didn't pay attention to the kickdown cable on my old parts car, but I'm using the carb off it, so I'm pretty sure it was like what you see in the manual. That was an 89 sedan J vin

Yours actually might be a J vin, I see that Hitachi distributor (count your lucky stars you don't have the TEC that 99% of these have) check and see what your vin starts with. If it's a 1 then I guess your car is just weird, maybe late production

Yup. J vins are pretty uncommon in the states. Maybe mine was just like yours. Coul be that the JDM cars had to use a different cable for the rhd models and it was one of the parts not changed for the export models and the one in the manual is exclusive to the cars made by Honda of America

I know that isn't much help... I really have no clue where to find the Japanese exclusive parts that aren't well documented like the Hitachi distributor. I would be looking at any Honda model from this time, not that makes your sample size much larger.

Plan Z: put a button under the pedal that activates a solenoid that pulls the arm on the trans lol
