ok most of you guys are brain dead. or sumthin. It doesnt matter how old the car is. If it performs like a 6,000 dollar car would then sell it for 6000 dollars. What do u say about honda CRX's being sold for 8000 and over every fuckin day.

MAN......YALL ARE CRAZY!!! 6,500 IS AWESOME!!!! I was expecting mike to sell his car for like 8k-10k.......i mean he invested 22k into it and thats alot of money....more than what new civics r...heck probably much as a new civic si or more!!!!IF IT WAS AROUND SEPTEMBER......id probably buy it...but too bad its not...........but thats an awesome low price mike...yall just need to know his story behind that car....it has everything...ill guarantee itll sell fast........kinda sad seeing it go though mike but i guess u gotta move on
I personally think you should sell your car for what it is worth. If you have put $10K into your car, don't sell it for less than $10K, because then you're just ripping yourself off! but that's just my opinion, and mine doesn't count b/c I'm a girl who doesn't know what she's talking about...!!![]()

ok without arguing i must say this. 90% of people will expect bluebook price. no matter what. the trick is to find a buyer who will appreciate the custom stuff and be willing to invest in it.
yea, I know, but still... at least take the stuff off before selling the car, and sell the aftermarket parts. you might make more money or something. I just don't see the point in hooking up a car, then selling it for less.. you just threw all that money you spent on that car away!

I love Mike's car. Mike is a realy cool dude. However I think the price is kinda high for people who are going to go take a loan out, because the Blue Book Value will be looked up for that. But Like he said he has a friend thats gonna or might buy it for 7k. They wanna buy it for the mods he's done.
The Blue Book Value on My Car right now is $2155, Then you add on the $1800 Rims, the $2000 system....my calculator says $5955. I'm getting some stuff for free or realy cheap so I'm gonna throw $1500 worth into the car, and sell it for $3500. Allready I have 3 people on a list who wants to drive the car. I know right now if I sold the car to any normal person who doesn't want some pimped out moded car, I'd get $2155 for it.
Soo I'm With Mike! GOOO MIKE!
yah mike i personally think you are underpricing it.
Thanks InfiniteGSX,
I agree man, I am going to find someone willing to pay a little for the mods I put in you know. I also realize ya bluebook is only about $3K so a bank wont loan more then that. It wont be easy to sell even though a lot wouldnt mind owning it.
If you can sell it for $6500+, more power to ya. I'm all about capitalismOriginally posted by Mike89Accordcom
I bought it for $10K in 95, the rest of the money is into all of the mods I've put into it, including ones I've taken off and sold, but I've only taken off a few things.Don't take this as insulting or whatever but you cannot justify a selling price based on $ you put into the car, you have to go by market valuation. My BMW 525i's sticker was mid $20k range but I sold it for $8k. Doesn't matter that I had $25k in it, the car had depreciated. Cars are a BAD investment.. period. Also most mods, generally, do not help a car's value. Stuff like painted calipers, seat belt pads, shift knobs, etc etc unless you are selling to a kid who is wowed by it. Also I'm sorry but I really don't see where you spent $1500 on the engine, unless you aren't good at shopping around
Did you not list some mods? The system is your best value point in this case.
Again, this isn't meant as inflammatory. The more you can get the better. Hell, sell it for $15k if you can, it's pretty nice lookingJust don't expect it to sell instantly, same price range could get a 95 Prelude SI /w 97k.

It's all good man. I know modding a car in ways actually depreciates the value. So when selling a modded car you have to find a particular person who likes your style, etc. Which I know that won't be hard, but could take time. All mods are listed.
