    High Idle

    OK I HAVE A HIGH IDLE BETWEEN 2.5 AND 4 GRAND HOW CAN I FIX IT

    what type of car do you have? Fuel injected or carbureted?
    Does it reall reach 4 K? does it only happen when cold?

    CARB IT REACHES 4 WHEN ITS COLD AND IT STAS THERE FOR WHILE WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE IT SO IT DOESNT IDLE SO HIGH FOR FOR A LONG PERIOD OF THE TIME

    i believe you can adjust that. i never had to do that so i can't tell how you can do it. the fast idle should be between 2000-3000 rpm.

    Yeah I had the same problem and I didn't want to mess with it, so I bought a Weber 32/36. I believe there's a how-to on this or a faq thread on adjusting the fast idle. Like shepard said it should be between 2k-3k rpms.

    anyway you can adjust it but it's difficult you need a vacuum pump to know how to screw in or out the fast idle screw !
