Here is nates farewell post:
Werd up kids! It has been a while since I have been here to post due to my banning and banishment from the beloved 3geez message board. It has been a life changing experience that not even the smartest people can understand. Not even mike.
Anyway! I know that I am banned for the lifetime of this wonderful and prestigous place, but its ok because I wont be back even if I wasn't banned. I have bought a 5th generation Accord, 96' black sedan with black tinted windows with 71k miles. I never thought I would be making this post because I never figured I would get rid of the 3geez. But there are certain factors that made me change my mind. The biz has of course taken off to the point where I can afford a new car, and I am in need of a new project. The 3rd gen will be up for sale now. I would like to sell it for $3,000. Since I am making one post I will put the specs here:

----------------------------------------------
-1989 Honda Accord DX Sedan
-New timing belt/water pump/all new belts, pvc valve, valve cover gasket installed at the Honda dealership 3 weeks ago.
-Brand new clutch 35k miles ago.
-Car has 185k miles on it and runs strong.
- Does not leak antifreeze or oil.
- Transmission shifts smooth and has never given me any problems.
- There is some rust on the rear end of it, underneath the tail light. Would be an easy fix. The part is $16.00 from honda.
- Car was cleaned (rubbed out with polishing compound, and then buffed) yesterday from top to bottom for 6 hours. I inspected the whole car to ensure that I knew anything small that could be wrong with it rust or condition wise. I found NOTHING except what is mentioned. The wheel wells have 0 rust.
- Brand new carpet installed less then a year ago.
- Custom blue shift boot made out of pleather to match the interior.
- New front pads and passenger rotor.
- Diamondback Headlight conversions. Xenon gas charged bulbs.
Aftermarket Mods:
Weapon R coilovers.
Ingalls camber kit (front).
Koni front struts. (less then 3 months old).
Tokico rear struts.
7" LCD Screen (included).
Dreamcast, kind of acts screwy sometimes..I havent looked at it. Vibration may have gotten to it.
White faced gauges from pro car parts.
Apexi N1 exhaust (true exhaust, no knockoffs). On stock piping. Its not loud, but you can hear it when you get on it.
Infiniti reference rear speakers, fronts will be swapped for OEM 96 accord speakers, if they fit.. if not, their boston acoustic pros. The cd player will be removed when the car is sold.
- Custom headliner, looks perfect.

And the Bad things: (want to be as upfront as possible here).
The car has a rebuilt salvage title. It was rear ended in the mid 90s. I cannot tell where they fixed the car, or why they gave it that title. The frame is fine, the rear suspension was untouched, nothing is screwy with the alignment.
I can tell they repainted the car from the rear doors back. Since I have spent so much time working on this car, you stare at it enough, and you can notice. No one has seemed to of noticed but me. Its so faint, b ut the OEM faded better then the aftermarket.
Minor Rust on the rear, under the tailight, mentioned that before.
Should be a $100 fix.
The weapon R coilovers are clanky about 35% of the time. The rest of the time, I dont notice. The car rides incredibly well for its drop.
The rims arent included, the stock rims will be placed back on the car for its sale. (13" stockers, new tires).
Drivers side seat is showing wear, the pics make it look really bad, but its not as bad as the pics make it. No holes or rips in any of the interior. 185k of an ass does that to you.
The car will run rich sometimes in the very cold mornings, this is a common carb problem. Its very intermitant, im yet to pinpoint it. Car still runs fine but lacks some power. Turn it off for 5 min, turn it back on, it works..odd. The rest of the time, the car literally sounds like an electric vehicle its so quiet and smooth.
Car will need a drivers tie-rod end. I havent gotten around to it. The CV joint on the drivers may need to be replaced, it doesnt click or clank, just doesnt look as normal as it usually does. Im a picky bastard.
I think I may be missing some small things, but other then that, that is the jist of it. It has been a fun ride, but its time to move on, I really hope my car goes to a good home. I hope someone on here buys it before someone in my area buys it.
I have taken absolutely perfect care of it. This car has NEVER been redlined. I have been the only one that has driven it in the 3 years I have owned it. The owner before me was a secretary. She drove it daily on the interstate from what I gathered a few years back.
