    Sun/Moonroof

I'd really like to get a moonroof in my LX anyone know how difficult/costly this would be to do? I would really like to have it, but I'm dirt poor... Making 70 bucks a week doesn't go far enough.

howdy. I don't know what it would cost in your area but I was quoted approx. $250.oo for the labor on it, plus cost of the sunroof. The one I wanted was about 60 bucks. So you're looking at 300 to 400 dollars. Hope that helps. It really shouldn't put your car down for more than a day if they are fast 2 days if they wait on it. They cut a hole and run the wiring basically. Later. Lockleaf

I put one in my car almost right after i got it...
    COST
    1 sunroof that opens at wrecker= $40
    1 tube of sealant = $3
1.5 hours of my own labour ______
    TOTAL $43 and 1.5hrs CDN

I think that is real cheap...especially for a fully openening sunroof..

i think most lx-i's had them, mine has one too, and most i've seen have them, especially since they have that dropped roof for the thing to slide back in, and a slot in the dash for a switch

sun roof pops open or slides up onto the roof. Moonroof slides in between headliner and car roof. As for having one installed, I've changed my mind. I agree with MSI. Just go buy a 3g with a sunroof on it already. That is what I'm going to do. I can probably pick one up in good body condition for about $600 with no engine, and then i'll drop the H22 into it come spring. That is my plan anyway. Later. Lockleaf

I bought a 87 accord Lx-i as a parts car for $100. It had new $200 speakers a good moonroof, rebuilt head and all of the EFI parts I need to swap in my car. This week I'm doing the EFI swap. Next I would like to put in the moonroof in, but I don't know if I can pretty much bolt it in or if there is some good mods that need to be done besides cutting a fat hole in the roof. Could I do it myself or would it be better to pay and have it professionally.

Hey Lockleaf good luck on the H22 drop. I heard that is pretty damn hard to do but it would should beat the crap out of the
B16.:badass: If you do pull it off and for a reasonable price I would love to do the same for my car.
