    Question What does this do??

OK, I have sent out an entire spare cylinder head and intake to be machined, port matched and polished. While I was prepping the parts I came across this (part # 8)http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...Y+%28PGM-FI%29

It is called the "Electronic Air Control Valve" What i need to know is what exactly does it control and can I bypass it/remove it from the Throttle body??

    Thanks

It controls air in the idle mixture and plays a part in maintaining proper idle speed throughout a range of engine temperatures.

It would not be advisable to remove it.
