    how do take out my distributor cap and rotor

    how do take out my distributor cap and rotor? I can take you my cap but he rotor is the rEAL Problem

    im pretty sure you just gently pull, i dont remember mine being of any difficulty
    86 white hatch LXi with 5spd swap and full system.

    i recall the cap being more of an inconvinience.

    Actully the hardest part is getting the right type from the parts store, gotta make sure if its the round on or the one with the squared end.

    TEC = almost round with one flat edge

    Hitachi = completely round

    ok i have a question, any easy way to get the bottom screw off the cap..got the top screw of with ease, but the bottom one is a bitch...

    Just use a small 1/4" drive ratchet with an extension and a 6 or 7mm socket (can't remember which one...I think it's 7, and deep socket helps a little with length too if you only have a real short extension). Might have to move the radiator hose around a little to get it in there, but it's not hard. Much easier than using a screwdriver...those things strip pretty easy
