    intrax springs

    ok,
i called Intrax today to find out about spring rates for 3G.
This is what they told me.
First the guy told me that they are 30% stiffer all the way around.
I asked him to give me the numbers, and here is what he gave me.
    Front springs- 247Lb.
    Rear springs - (progressive) 95lb to 257lb.

Now, i may be stupid by i know my math.
if stock spings rated at 211lb front (according to Jim) than intrax spings should be 274lb front, but the guy told me lower number.
So it is eather we have wrong numbers or Intrax has low numbers for stock springs to start with.
anyway, just wanted to share this little info with you guys.
    Alex.

    strats ..................

No I installed a set on a friends car and they were just crap! THey were supposed to be 1.25 drop and actually dropped the car like 2.5. We didn't get the wrong application either cause they only made one application. Plus I've had many friends who werent satisfied with intrax.

    Thats why I say that.

Oh boy, just like the eibachs, weak rear rates, say hello to more understeer, like the 3rd gen needs more . Well neuspeed says their sports are 30% stiffer than stock, which is sorta true for the front at 26%, but the rears on the neuspeeds are much stiffer than 30% over stock. Really it's a good thing for the math to be off, it shows that intrax is smart enough to know that certain cars may need rates that are more than 30% stiffer to tune the car. To bad they weren't so smart in tuning those rear rates. My advice, if you like the drop, add a Suspension techniques rear sway bar to compinsate for the rear rear spring rates increasing the understeer.
