    Im Going To Shoot This Accord

    every since I replaced my alt belt, I get that high pitched noise from the belt at idle, when the air or heat is on (under 35mph). In the rain, it get worse!!!

    I can't stand this noise. I took the car back to the mech, it was fixed for a day. Next day I got that noise again.

    Next problem;

    ignition. Sometimes the ignition won't let me pull the key out when the car is turned off. I play with the shifter and brake wait a few minutes with the car turned off and then it might let the key go. Sometimes I have to leave the key in the car all night.

    Someone please help. These are the only two reason I contemplate getting rid of the car. These two things are nerve recking. help!!!

    use lock lube for the ignition and make sure the wheel is not locked and for the belt tighten it more and try some belt dressing.

    It is a spray you can get at any auto parts store that increases friction between the belt and pulley

    Well, thanks alot. You know one of the main reasons I've kept this car is because of this site... When I do run into a problem with this car (and thats not too often), I run to my pc and click 3geez...

    Thanks alot guys!!! I'm going to get around to sending in some pictures of this mint condition lxi.

    the reason the noise keeps comming back is because your alternator belt is getting loose. take 12mm and 10mm wrench and tighten the adjusting bolt.

    My alternator belt tension is adjusted by turning a 13 mm nut. What 10 mm bolt are you talking about?
