    few questions on performance

#1 Yeah i need to know what is the fastest spark plug available for my 89 lxi.
#2 Are NGK ignition leads the best?
#3 What does a msd ignition do, is it really worth it?
#4 Do cam regrinds add good hp and torque?
#5 im buying a new dynomax turbo muffler and a random technology high flow catalytic converter
#6 should i make my own cai or buy a civic version and mod it to fit the ground for optimal air flow?
#7 K&n fuel filter, oil filter and HIgh Flow air filter
#8 Anything else i can do to improve my hp and torque will spend another 500 or so for it.

Im looking to take my car from 120 hp 122 torque, to 150 hp,130-140 torque.

#1 fastest spark plug? just use NGK.
#2 they are the best, but there are many other companies that claim they are good too.
#3 msd ignition, what part are you talking about?
#4 mild will add about 5hp and wild will add around 10hp.
#5 good for you. don't forget to buy DC sport headers and make custom 2.25" piping for entire exhaust.
#6 civic CAI won't fit, you probably were thinking about shart air intake. i hear that some one took CAI from 90's accord and it made it fit.
#7i didn't know K&N was making fuel filters.
#8 buy cam gear. if you want it go fast ask justanothermike, he had his accord up to 140-150hp.

Well so many spark plugs claim that they deliver more hp and torque whatever it is they do.

i know, and the best spark plugs will provide a cleaner more efficient burn during the combustion cycle. but i really don't think spark plugs alone will increase performance, they're more of a supplemental mod that is pretty much useless without upgraded wires, ignition, and a new distributor. there's alot of hype that surrounds spark plugs

If you got the dough, then might as well do a swap if you're concerned with turbo.

oh btw, the best ignition wires are (unless they are damaged) the stock honda sumitomo wires, they are well over $100 a set too and last a long time.

I dont want to do a turbo on my a20a3, this car is going to last me for through college and maybe some more after that. Dont want to run the risk of blowing the engine up when i dont have any money.

I run Champion spark plugs right now. They're a couple degrees colder because of my mods though. It works well but I prefer NGK.

I never got an op to dyno. My best guess would about 180+hp at the flywheel. This is judging my car's weight with me, plus full sound system including sub box and how fast I run the unofficial quarter mile. The G-tech said I ran 14.6 but I highly doubt it's accuracy. My friends say I have more power than that but I doubt that too. I prefer to be conservative.
I'm shooting for 200hp before my 80hp nitrous install.
