    Whooo!

I found my 10 inch JL W6 My mom had it in storage this whole time.

According to the dowloaded PDf file from JL's site, I can push up to 300 watts RMS. Unfortunatly, I have only one. so, i can only do 3 ohms becuase it's a 6ohm speaker. I was hoping to go downt to 1.5 but I'd have to get another speaker to do that wiring Configuration. It doesnt make sense to me to get another speaker and run 1.5 ohms BUT Find a amp that's best for 3 ohm setup. Should I just get an amp that's 2 ohm stable Or should I go further and get an amp that's 1.5 stable?

What amp would you suggest for the best price?

    Josh

    That's an idea....

What about just getting a big 2 channel 2ohm stable amp and Bridge the JL ? Since I know I will upgrade to 2 new Subs down the road.

that amp is 1 ohm stable.. you can run like 3 subs off it.. if you set it up right

if you get another sub, run it at 1.5 ohm.. it will slam them pretty hard

yeah i would say go with 2ohm stable amp. you should be fine.
if you measure the resistance of 3ohm setup you will see that it is actually lower than 3ohm. i would say it is somewhere around 2ohm.
so 2ohm stable amo should be fine.

its 1 ohm stable, puts out 300 watts max at 4 ohms,600 watts at 2 ohms and like 900 at 1 ohm. if you run it at 1 ohm, its recomended to run a small computer fan on the top of it to draw some heat away...

if you want ear popping bass... the 1200.1 is also on sale. it puts out 600 watts max at 4 ohms, 1200 by 1 at 2 ohms and like 1800 at 1 ohm... again.. use a fan or two to cool the amp

    and the link should work

Yeah those JBL amps are pretty powerful but they do draw alot of current and ive heard way too many stories of people having them start on fire (literally)
