I didn't say it needed a tranny, I said it needs a clutch, which is what whats-his-name said. Touch-up paint? Did you see all the peeling? If it needs a new muffler, it might need a whole cat-back from rust. That's more than $40. A "new cd player" is probably more expensive than fixing the stock one.

It's not a bad deal, if you don't care much what it looks like.

part it out may be your best chance if you are good at removing stuff without breaking it. Seems like the fellas who part out do okay IF the stuff is not damaged.

Bullshit. My '88 came with full factory AM/FM/CD/cassett. The CD player broke about 2 days after purchase. I still have the window paperwork that lists the CD stereo as factory equipment... though I threw that p.o.s. away.

Hey everyone- I just bought an '89 Accord LXI coupe w/ an auto trans. It is black- no rust. Interior is tan and in good shape. I found out the car has tranny problems, it won't pull after it warms up. I bought it w/ intentions of using parts off my friends '86 accord to get it going. Well I went over to my friends house and his mom had the car hauled off. Now I am stuck w/ this car and don't know what to do. If anyone has a auto tranny and is close to Illinois let me know. Or if any of you guys would like to buy this car I will sell it if the price is right- just make me an offer. My email is [email protected].

..what i'd really like tho is one without the cutout for the eq and that little round hole thing... did honda even make one like that? with just the din opening in it for a seperate cd player?
