    swappable oil pans???

ive got an '88 lxi, last year, in the middle of the az summer, i had my oil changed at a jiffy lube, its the only time ive not done my own oil change, but the temps outside were well over 100 degrees, even at night... anyways, the dumbasses over tightened the drain bolt, now it wont seal right, even with a new washer...

i found a guy parting out his '88 lx in the classifieds, he does have his pan, and most likely, he will let it go for a good price. what i need to know is, are the oil pans interchangable b/w the 88 lxi and the carburated 88 lx motor???

You do know you can go to napa and get a self taping drain plug, don't you? It costs $2.50 and works. I did this myself and I works like new.

The oil pans should be the same since both engine use the same block.
