    too much bounce

    Hey,

I recently changed the struts in the front of my car because i was bottoming out over a certain bump on the freeway. I got some cheep struts but i think i am going to regret it. I still notice a lot of bounce when i go over bumps.

Is this because of the struts or the springs?

Are you one stock springs or lowering springs?

Bounce is always the fault of the strut. Either it started off as a weak design or it's starting to fail and can no longer do it's job.
Curious though, you shouldn't be bottoming out in the first place. So I question one (or both) of the front springs, you might was to check them for breakage.

the springs are not broken, but they are the originals. The car has 175+ K miles on it...

The struts are MacPherson... Are they any good or not?
