    Chrome grill

    Hello everyone!

Paul Aerodeck86 and me are searching for replacement parts for his car after the front end on it was damaged in an accident. Because the radiator grill on aerodecks had the black trim (which was destroyed in the accident), Paul now wants to replace it with a chrome grill trim often found on 86-87 3G Accords. We located what seems to be the correct part but it is only a vague drawing in the picture of it.

    Here is a link: Part

Can someone please inform us whether or not this is the correct part. Again, we are looking for the chrome trim piece for the front upper grill for the USDM 86-87 Accords.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    GhettoAccord,

Are you totaly sure that is the chrome piece? Seems like some models came with black trim while others had the chrome.

    Thanks.

I'm fairly sure, I think if it was anything other than the ordinary they would say it.

I thought every 86-87 accord had the chrome and the 88-89 had the plastic

    GhettoAccord,

Thank you VERY much for the call!!! Basically we just need the correct OEM number and now it is clarified. Again, thank you!

P.S.: Mike, the 86-87 Accords had a front grille where the triangles on the sides were separate from the center piece. The center piece molding was either black or chrome. On 88-89 Accords the grille is completely one piece with only a chrome lip on the top where it meets the hood.

No problem. He wasnt sure but he asked and said it was chrome.

By the way, I think the 88-89 chrome grille looks a lot better.
