I dont think their is such a think as the CRV uses the B20B and dont think their is a newer B20A than the preludes and accord motors. Did you ever buy a B20A? I have 2 of them and i know www.openloopmotorsports had 2 left and i must say the one i bought from them was in very very good shape.

They are definatly hard to find now. The one i was planning to buy from Spituning was sold about a month ago so thats where i picked up my spare 5spd tranny. He wanted to import me an automatic but didnt want to wait that long. Good luck with your project and i will say i have talked to all 3 of the guys at openloop a few times and they are very good and helpful. Darryl is who i dealt with the most but Gordon is the one with the B20A Hatchback and Mike is the one who is on the board time to time.

Rob, are the gold tops the only b20a's that openloop imports? Im gonna do a b20a 88 coupe soon and I would rather have a 88 motor in a 88 car.

86-87-88-89... they are all the same except the intake manifold (which is the same as an A20A)

What is the point of honda changing the intake on the engine if its going to keep the horse power and torque the same?

different ECU, different idle controls. Different emission system.

My family name isn't Honda so I don't know for sure. All I know is that they are the same and have the same power.

I wanted a Black Top as well mainly for the sensors as they add up money wise when they go. It really dont matter though but the gold tops are what mostly everyone has so that is probably what you will find.

Hell, make a B20A Type-R! C'mon, people. Or else just wait a while. Sean or Yasu will make one... man, they have all the fun.

Im expecting some decent power with the turbo setup on my B20A when its done but it doesnt come cheap. I must say working for Audi doesnt help me by seeing all the turbo cars their on a daily basis. Plus most of the younger guys at work own VW's so they rank on me for being a honda owner.

Ill be the first to say thats its there problem they were dumb enough to be a kroutburner. They just dont see the light that shows us all the path of true power. No its not high torque or even hosepower but it sure has to be better than VW.

It dont really bother me but im open to many car brands and i really like the Audi S4 but let me say they have a lot of nice features that give numerous problems. The parts are way over priced as well $1700 for a small turbo i dont think so. I did get a deal on my T3 Super 60 for $450 but even if i bought my turbo directly through turbonetics it would not be $1700. Audi parts are really expensive and if i ever own an Audi i will only have it while the warranty is good. This applies to VW parts to not as bad but still high priced being that VW makes Audi.
