well im driving home tonight, i was a little tired so i decide to put the car in cruise , im going about 70 and i put it on, and it just dont work, i made sure the cruise control button was on and it was and it still didint work, i drive a 89 LX....anyone know how i can fix this little problem?
Try pulling up on your clutch and brake pedals individually while trying to activate the cruise control. If it goes on with one of the pedals pulled up you know that the pedal switch needs to be adjusted. If that's not the problem then troubleshooting gets more complex. Let us know what you find.

Yea what he said, and also, does your horn work? Does the green light come on on the instrument cluster?

Then it's an electrical problem. I removed my vacuum lines and removed the cruise control b/c mine didnt work worth crap anyways.
check your horns. If your horns dont work you wont get cruise. Sounds stupid but get yourself a schematic and you will see
