    Question alt wine

I have a fosgate head unite going to a fosgate 200a4 and a power acoustics 1040-2 the fosgate amp powers 5 ¼ in. component clarions in the doors, 6 ½ in. cerwin-vaga components in the rear deck w/ pioneer highs in the deck as well. The power acoustic 1040-2 powers my two 12” w-6’s in the trunk. I have a ½ farad cap for the fosgate and a 1-farad cap for the 1040-2. I have small but annoying amp wine coming in on my speakers coming from the fosgate. I have tried every thing I can think of to eliminate this including relocating the ground, new RCA wires, a filter that goes in line w/ the RCA cables, a new amp, and rerouting the power wires for both amps. If anyone can think of any thing else that it could be it would be great help. Thank in advance.

radio shake sells the filters that go between your power. i am not sure how it works but i think it should eliminate the problem.

I'm going to get the filter for the power wire thanks for the tip. As for the plugs, I have had that problem before in other cars so that was the first thing I changed along with the wires.

well my stereo was doing the same thing and I have a similar setup to you. Just make sure that your H/U and amp are grounded to the frame without any paint underneath. That should clear it up.

Add a ground from your negative battery post to chassis.

make sure you ground both amplifiers to the same point otherwise you create a ground loop and get all sorts of noise
