    getting to much fuel

OK here is my problem, I have an 89 LX-i programed fuel injection model and it seems to be getting to much fuel. The emissions fumes are pretty bad. I am unsure what to do. I also have 2 of 4 injectors leaking they are the middle ones. Could the injectors leaking make it run rich. My milage on the car is 207,000 miles. I am going to fix the leaking injectors with an O-ring kit from autozone. So can any one help me with the running rich, I know you guys can thanks.

Put 02 sensors on 37$ a piece from advanced auto parts that should fix the problem

I don't think o2 sensors would fix a fuel problem would they?

Well, I know this sounds retarded but why not get a voltmeter and just test the o2 sensors. Basically just see if there's voltage getting to the sensor.

Definitely get the injectors fixed, check your idle, check for vacuum leaks ,check ect sensor too
if O2 sensor is tested .......a reading of .6v--1.0v , with engine idling or at a high rpm, and the reading stays constant means it is faulty

Well the thing is that my check engine light hasn't came on. I fill like it is idled to high. It stays at about 1100 to 1200 rpm at idle.I havn't really checked for vaccum leaks because there isn't that many vaccum hoses to check on the car. I thought maybe that if the emissions or sensors failed maybe the check engine light would come on. Since it is PROGRAMED FUEL INJECTION I don't want to adjust the injection system. It isn't drivable because of the CV axels need to be replaced, so I can't put it on the dianosics computer. Thank you guys for your help and I will try all of the above.

What makes you think that it's running rich?
Turn the screw on the throttle body with a flat head clockwise (i think) to lower your rpm to 750-800 when the engine is in normal operating temperature.

The thing that makes me think that it is running rich is that it is ideling to high when I crank it up. As it runs the rpm's slowly go down. And while it runs I can smell the exuast fumes that are heavy. And I am outside by the way. I am just afraid that I will not pass emissions test. I am in Dallas Texas and the inspections are very strict.
